Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to provide program and business operations support to Space Systems Command (SSC), System Delta 81 (SYD 81), and the Portfolio Acquisition Executive – Infrastructure (PAE-I) Program Office.

In this role, the Business Analyst will directly support the SYD 81 Chief of Staff, assisting with business operations, program coordination, organizational priorities, and mission-support activities. The position will work closely with Government leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze information, coordinate requirements, track actions, and support effective program execution and decision-making.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced Department of Defense environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will:

• Monitor, analyze, and report the status of Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) tasking across SYD 81 and PAE staff, providing leadership with an accurate assessment of overall task health
• Manage ETMS2 tasking throughout the full life cycle, including reviewing, assigning, sub-assigning, tracking, and closing actions
• Monitor task suspense dates and provide timely notifications and follow-up to ensure assigned actions are completed within established deadlines
• Develop and maintain real-time reports and dashboards reflecting task status, responses, past-due actions, and upcoming requirements
• Provide Government leadership with weekly status reports identifying past-due and upcoming ETMS2 tasking
• Analyze business processes, workflows, and mission-critical challenges and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and program execution
• Support the SYD 81 Chief of Staff with internal and external taskings, workflow management, organizational priorities, and business operations
• Execute and provide oversight of internal and external taskings across applicable classification levels
• Develop, coordinate, and distribute Weekly Activity Reports and other recurring leadership products
• Develop and distribute PAE and SYD 81 newsletters and organizational communications
• Develop, update, and maintain recurring leadership products, including monthly reports, talking points, fact sheets, public affairs materials, and other designated documentation
• Maintain current PAE, SYD 81, and subordinate organization content and products within applicable SharePoint sites
• Coordinate and maintain accurate, timely content for PAE and SYD 81 on approved externally facing websites and communication platforms
• Collaborate with Government leadership, program teams, and stakeholders to identify requirements, resolve issues, and support organizational and mission objectives

Skills and Experience

The Business Analyst must have:

• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance or ability to obtain one
• 10+ years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD) experience supporting business operations, program management, task management, workflow coordination, or related mission-support activities
• Demonstrated experience using Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) or similar task and workflow management systems
• Experience managing taskers, suspense dates, organizational workflows, status reporting, and leadership-level deliverables
• Knowledge of program management concepts, processes, and best practices with demonstrated experience applying them in operational environments
• Experience analyzing business processes, identifying operational challenges, and developing recommendations for process improvement
• Experience developing executive-level reports, briefings, newsletters, talking points, fact sheets, and other organizational products
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience supporting a Space Program Office, Major Command (MAJCOM), Field Command (FLDCOM), or similar DoD organization is highly desired
• Experience working with Government program leadership and senior-level stakeholders

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
